Sohail Khan, who last directed the romantic comedy Freaky Ali starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is all set to direct his next, tentatively titled My Punjabi Nikkah. 

Sources say that the film will be inspired by Sohail's own wedding with his Punjabi wife, Seema. It was earlier rumoured that Fawad Khan would play the lead role in this feel-good comedy, but now the industry buzz is that Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha have been approached. The film is expected to go on floors later this year.
