Mom, featuring Sridevi in the lead, will have music by Oscar winning composer AR Rahman. The film, on which the composer spent most of last year, will have five songs altogether. The song O Sona Tere Liye, which has been sung by Rahman himself, was released by the makers recently. It's now known that the song, Muafi Mushkil, was composed by ARR on his 50th birthday. The composer apparently spent the day on the song making it special. He has also roped in Palestinian singer, Sana Moussa, for the album.

Music and background score will apparently play a pivotal part in Mom. In a recent interview, Director Ravi Udyawar said that the film would rely heavily on the music to bring out the emotions of the characters, and to enhance both the lows and the highs in the story. Interestingly, Rahman has also composed the songs for the film's Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions.

Mom, also starring Akshaye Khanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddqui, is scheduled to hit the screens on July 7.
