Express Features

Amy Jackson, who is shooting for the Shankar's 2.0, will be joining Parul Yadav as the principal cast in the Kannada remake of the Hindi blockbuster Queen, which has been titled as Butterfly. Parul, who is playing the lead role that won Kangana Ranaut a National Award in the original, has been shooting for the film for the past two weeks, and now Amy Jackson has been signed to play the character of Vijayalaxmi originally essayed by Lisa Hyden.

Incidentally, Amy will be playing the role in all four South Indian language languages. Since the character is of that of a free-spirited woman of foreign descent, Amy Jackson seems to have been an obvious choice. Director Ramesh Arvind will be wielding the megaphone for the Kannada and Tamil versions of the remake. The leads in the other versions haven't been confirmed yet.
