Akankshaa to play a blind girl in Navaneeth's next

Express Features

It seems like Navaneeth is on a directing spree. The director, who came into the limelight with Karva, is in the last leg of shooting his second film, Buckaasuura. Meanwhile, he has also planned his third project, which he says will go on floors in August.

The project will be produced by him and his friends, and will be a female-centric horror/thriller. The director has roped in Akankshaa, who previously worked with Duniya Vijay in RX Suri. Navaneeth says, "Akankshaa will be the only protagonist with no hero. She will play a blind girl in this yet-to-be titled film. The entire film will be shot in Ooty, and we are in the process of finalising the supporting cast before we start shooting."

Navaneeth hopes to complete the talkie portions of Buckaasuura by this week, and will just be left with the remaining bits and songs. The psychological thriller, presented by producer Umapathy, will be distributed by Jack Manju, and features Ravichandran and RJ-turned-actor, Rohit.

Navaneeth will also planning a Karva sequel, which he plans to start by December.
