The cast of Vada Chennai including Dhanush will be sporting multiple looks in the film. As the film will showcase the story of a man over the span of 34 years, the film will have its cast don many different get-ups. 

Dhanush is currently busy with his Hollywood debut, The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir, while Samuthirakani is busy with the former's production venture Kaala. Meanwhile, director Ameer, who'll play a pivotal role in Vada Chennai has joined the sets. Directed by Vetrimaaran, Vada Chennai will have Santhosh Narayanan's music. The film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions along with Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company.
