With the shooting of Sivakarthikeyan's Velaikkaran almost complete, the actor is ready to commence his next from Friday.

This untitled project will be directed by Ponram, with whom the actor has previously collaborated on Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan. As with those two films, the upcoming film will have D Imman's music and feature Soori in a supporting role.

This film will also mark the first time Sivakarthikeyan co-starring with Samantha. With the latter's wedding to Naga Chaithanya confirmed for October, the shooting is planned to get wrapped up by then.

Sources state that the team has completed the pre-production work in record time, and Imman has even composed three songs for the film already. The film is bankrolled by 24 AM Studios which has produced Sivakarthikeyan's Remo and the yet-to-release Velaikkaran.

The makers are eyeing the Pongal holidays to release this untitled project.
