Actor Upendra’s long pending commitment finally bears fruits as the actor joins the sets of producer Poorna Naidu’s next venture titled Home Minister. The film is being made in Kannada and Telugu.

“The producer didn’t mind waiting for the actor because he felt that only Upendra could do justice to the story,” said a source from the sets. “The wait was also justified as Upendra is very popular in Telugu as well,” adds our source.

Home Minister has been written and directed by Sujay K Srihari. Popularly known as Srihari Nanu in Tollywood, he has written the story of Mahesh Babu’s latest film directed by Koratala Siva in which the actor will be seen in the role of Chief Minister.

Now, with Upendra on the scene, curiosity is high on whether Home Minister will be a family story or one with a political twist. Meanwhile, the search for a heroine is on, and the female lead will be finalised as early as possible. The movie will be shot at a stretch.
