Asif Ali-starrer Sunday Holiday, which hit the screens two weeks ago, has already been signed for remakes in Tamil and Telugu. Confirming the news, director Jis Joy said that he may direct the Tamil version of  the movie himself.

“We have been receiving positive reports after the release of Sunday Holiday. The remake rights have already been sold for Tamil and Telugu versions. I have also got an offer to direct the Tamil version. I would love to do it as well. But, we haven’t signed the dotted lines yet,” said the director.

Sunday Holiday, which opened to mixed reports, has Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Siddique and Dharmajan Bolgatty in the lead. The movie, which  follows the narrative pattern of cinema within cinema, has Sreenivasan and Lal Jose playing significant characters.

Meanwhile Jis Joy refuted rumours that he has signed his next project. “Talks are on for a Prithviraj-Asif Ali project and a Biju Menon project. I haven’t decided on which to take up next. It will depend on whoever allocates dates first,” said the director.
