Another talented cinematographer steps into the captain’s role. Manohar Joshi is to direct a Gurunandan-starrer soon. The project is said to be at the scripting stage, and an official announcement will be made as soon as the story is finalised. If everything goes as per plan, work on the project will start sometime in September or after Gurunandan completes his current two projects - Raju Kannada Medium directed by Naresh Kumar and Missing Boy by D P Raghuram.

Our source says, “Gurunandan is excited to work with this new team, and happy to associate with cinematographer Manohar Joshi for his debut venture. The actor is now waiting for the script to be finalised.”

The cinematographer has an excellent body of work in Kannada, with films such as Nan Life Alli, Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story, Bahuparak, Kiragoorina Gayaligalu, and Run Antony, among others. The cameraman has been waiting for his chance at direction for a while now, and a project with Gurunandan will only boost his prospects.

Meanwhile, the actor has just completed the shoot for Raju Kannada Medium. The film, produced by KA Suresh, is now in the last leg of post-production work, and in all likelihood will be released by August-end for Ganesha festival. Meanwhile Gurunandan has wrapped up dubbing for his other film Missing Boy.
