Will Aiyaary avert a clash with 2.0?

Neeraj Pandey’s film, starring Sidharth Malhotra, might get a new release date to avoid a clash with the Shankar-Rajinikanth film

Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming film Aiyaary with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee is currently being shot in London. According to the latest buzz the film might get a different release date. The film was scheduled to release on Republic Day, January 26 along with Rajnikanth’s 2.0.

A source says, “We are completing the film as per schedule but it is not a wise idea to have a box office clash with 2.0. So there has been a discussion about changing the date, though nothing is confirmed as of now.”

Rajnikanth’s 2.0, directed by Shakar, has been in news for a long time. This sequel to their hit film Robot  (Enthiran in Tamil) stars Akshay Kumar in a negative role. The film was supposed to release on Diwali this year, but the makers decided to change the date as they wanted some time to complete post production. It is said that the team is currently busy shooting for a long song sequence and will wrap up the shoot soon.
