The Prabhudheva directorial Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja starring Vishal and Karthi which seemed to be on the verge of getting dropped, may be resumed soon. 

While some sources say that the project will be revived with two other actors, whose names haven't been finalised yet, a source close to the unit says, "We are trying our best to retain Vishal and Karthi. If it doesn't materialise, we'll choose two other actors."

The film was launched recently in Chennai and, in fact, Prabhudheva and  Harris Jayaraj went to London for song composition. Since nobody knows the reason why the project stalled, Vishal had made plans to commence Sandakozhi 2 in August, and this seemed to indirectly indicate that he may not be a part of Karuppu Raja... anymore. There were also some rumours that Prabhudheva may direct solo films with Karthi and Vishal in future, but nothing is official as of now.
