Lohith-Priyanka Upendra’s Howrah Bridge a thriller

The bilingual film, to be made in Kannada and Tamil, has also roped in Bollywood actor Sanjeev Jaiswal for a pivotal role

Director H Lohith had found success with his directorial debut Mummy - Save Me starring Priyanka Upendra, and he is doing his best to ensure that he finds the same applause with his second project too. There had been talk about the actress-director team working together again for another project and, now that the news has been confirmed, Lohith says that he is to helm a thriller this time. The movie, titled Howrah Bridge, will be mostly shot in Kolkata.

The team is bringing together an interesting star cast and has even roped in Bollywood actor, Sanjeev Jaiswal, whose claim to fame is his role as Kasab in Ram Gopal Varma’s The Attacks of 26/11. The actor is set to play an important role in the film.

Another interesting piece of information CE got is that Howrah Bridge will be a bilingual, to be made in Kannada and Tamil. “Talks are on with a big production house in Kollywood and an official announcement will be made soon, when they will reveal further details,” says our source. Howrah Bridge is to go on floors by August-end and has Venu as its cinematographer.

Meanwhile, Lohith is simultaneously working on his project with Upendra, a film based on the life of city’s first underworld don MP Jayaraj.
