Express Features

Rana Daggubati becomes the 'world’s first 3D Augmented Reality (AR) movie star' with his upcoming political thriller Nene Raju Nene Mantri (NRNM). For the first time, an AR motion poster was used in the world of cinema to set a new benchmark in movie promotions.

One can go through the AR experience with the light weight app ‘Appstar’ which will reveal thrilling aspects of lead characters Jogendra and Radha (played by Rana and Kajal Aggrwal) from the Teja-directorial. With this technology, the audience can "enjoy the alluring presence of their favourite stars on camera as much as in real life," according to the makers.

"This application is a nice way to introduce AR to the masses. It has a lot of benefits in education, entertainment, gaming and marketing." says producer Suresh Babu. Also starring Catherine Tresa, NRNM releases on August 11 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
