The shoot of the Prabhudheva directorial Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja, with Vishal, Karthi and Sayyeshaa in the lead, commenced during the first week of July. However, the shooting got called off after 10 days, though we hear the team had originally planned to shoot for a month. It looks like they stopped it without prior announcement, too. Buzz has it that there could be some sort of misunderstanding between the producer Isari Ganesh and Prabhudheva.

When CE contacted the team, a source denied this and just said that they are on a break since Karthi was busy with his cop flick, Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru. We'll have to wait and see if they resume the shoot soon. 

Jointly produced by Isari Ganesh and Prabhudheva, Harris Jayaraj will be composing the music for the film. Last month, Prabhudheva had tweeted that he was off to London with Harris for beginning work on the songs.

Karuppu Raja... marks the directorial comeback of Prabhudheva in Tamil after six years. The film was written by late writer-director K Subaash. Prabhudheva has said that he would like to dedicate the film to Subaash. "When I met him last year, he told me he wasn’t sure if he'd be around to seen this materialise. Unfortunately, he left us even before we could start the project," he added.
