Kamal Haasan to resume Sabaash Naidu shoot next month

Express Features

The makers of the Kamal Haasan-starrer Sabaash Naidu finished a month-long schedule in Los Angeles last year and CE learns that the shoot will be resumed by next month, post-August 15. “Kamal sir hasn’t recovered fully from the fracture yet. That’s why the project is getting delayed. Since he has to take up both the responsibility of actor and director, he’s taking his time,” says a source.

Director TK Rajeev Kumar was supposed to direct the film, but citing his illness, Kamal since took over as the filmmaker. When Shruti Haasan spoke to us, she said that major dance sequences have been shot. Kamal Haasan plays a RAW agent in the film, and it’s a spin-off from Dasavatharam. Shruti Haasan, who recently walked out of Sanghamitra, is expected to join the shoot from August. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan and Brahmanandam.
