Samuthirakani to pen dialogues for Priyadarshan’s film

The actor will be penning dialogues the first time for a film by another director

Actor-director Samuthirakani, who is playing an important role in Udhayanidhi Stalin’s next (directed by Priyadarshan) is also penning the dialogues for the film. We hear this is the first time he is penning dialogues for a film by another director. An official remake of the critically-acclaimed Malayalam hit, Maheshinte Prathikaram, the film was launched recently in the city with a traditional launch event.

Namita Pramod and Parvathy Nair play the female leads in this film, for which shooting will begin on July 19. For now, the team has finalised locations like Tenkasi and Kuttralam for the shoot.

One may recall that Samuthirakani played the antagonist in Priyadarshan’s previous film, Oppam. Darbuka Siva of Kidaari fame has been roped in to compose music for the film and Ekambaram will handle cinematography.
