Hariprriya first heroine to enter Kurukshetra

A Sharadhaa

To make an epic drama like Kurukshetra is no cakewalk, and one of the challenges would be selecting the ensemble cast. As of today, the team behind Darshan’s 50th film has only confirmed Ravichandran’s role, who is to play Krishna in the film. Meanwhile, the production house is in the process of finalising other actors.

Though names of different actresses have been doing the rounds, the first actress who will be officially joining the cast is Hariprriya. Though our sources confirm her inclusion, they are tightlipped about the role the actress will essay in the film directed by Naganna.

“The film has a huge star cast and every actor has an important role to play,” says our source. “What Hariprriya’s character will be and how she will be placed opposite Darshan will not be revealed, because we want to spark the audiences’ curiosity. The filmmakers will share it when the official launch of the movie is held on July 30. For now they are finalising the rest of the star cast.”

So, there is more exciting news coming from the production team and we have to wait for it.

While Darshan’s costumes have been readied, the team is now readying Ravichandran’s armour. The filmmakers have roped in a few team members from Baahubali’s sets and brought in a company from Mumbai to work on the VFX. This big budget movie is being produced by Munirathna and has Jayashree Devi on board as its executive producer.

If we take a quick glance at Hariprriya’s recent list of movies, she seems to have been busy with many projects. The actress, who is waiting for Bharaji’s release, has made a cameo appearance in Puneeth Rajkumar’s Anjaniputra. Meanwhile, she has completed her portions for Katha Sangama, a project initiated by director Rishab Shetty. The actress is currently on the sets of Samhaara, paired opposite Chiranjeevi Sarja in the film directed by Guru Deshpande. Hariprriya’s next will be with director R Chandru for his film Kanaka, and she will be paired for the first time opposite Duniya Vijay.
