Mithran Jawahar, whose latest outing was Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai, is working on his next, a thriller. He tells City Express, "I am working on the script as of now, but haven't finalised the cast yet. It's an adaptation of a women-centric Malayalam film, 100 Degree Celsius." He says he is planning to release the film in Tamil and Telugu.

"Talks are on with five heroines. Most of my films, including Yaaradi Nee Mohini, have been remakes. With this new project, I am trying something different. By August first week, I'll make an official announcement," he adds. Prod him more on his interest in remakes, and he smiles, "I don't remake films for the sake of it. I change the original script according to the sensibilities of our audience and it has worked out well. Scene-by-scene remakes from other languages will not work in Tamil, of course."

Mithran believes that his untitled venture will have a universal appeal. "Script is the priority, and when it’s handled in a good way, the audience will like it," he adds.
