Atul Manjrekar's directorial debut Fanney Khan has been grabbing a lot of attention ever since its announcement. Recently, rumors were going around about Priyanka Chopra turning down the project, but the producer of the film has made it clear that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was their first and only choice ever since their production house has come on board.

With a powerful star cast, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor, Fanney Khan is expected to be a fitting adaptation of the 2000 Dutch release, Everybody’s Famous.  Aishwarya will be seen opposite Anil Kapoor for the third time on screen in this film. The actors were earlier seen together in Subhash Ghai’s Taal (1999) and Satish Kaushik’s Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000).
