Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi will play the antagonist in Ram Charan’s new film to be directed by Boyapati Srinu. Reportedly, the Sarrainodu director recently met Vivek in Mumbai, pitched the story idea and received a go-ahead from the actor.

“Boyapati wants someone who will look menacing and ruthless. He believed that Vivek Oberoi would fit into the role and a few days ago he narrated the script to the Company actor, who is totally convinced with his characterisation and agreed to get on board,” says a source.

Vivek, who was last seen in Telugu in the Rakta Charitra series, will start the shooting from the first schedule, the source adds.

Touted to be a high-voltage action entertainer with a dash of family emotions, the film, to be bankrolled by DVV Danayya, will go on floors in January, after Sankranthi.
