We had told you that PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame was doing a film with Udhayanidhi Stalin. Now, the latest buzz is that the actor is likely to play a cop in it. We also hear that filming for the project, which will have Shraddha Srinath as the female lead, will begin in the second half of next year.

"It's too early to talk about Udhay's character, but the film is something on the lines of an investigative thriller," says a source. 

Udhayanidhi has just finished shooting for Priyadarshan's Nimir, which is scheduled for release on Republic Day. The actor also is a part of Seenu Ramasamy's film, which will go on floors by January 19
