Though Bimbashri, the female lead in the critically-acclaimed film Rama Rama Re, won praise for her debut film, it took almost a year for her to bag her second project. Since she played a de-glam role in her debut, she is now eagerly waiting to change her avatar.

“Everyone approached me with roles akin to Subbi’s character. But I did not want to be a typecast. So I had to forgo many roles. A few filmmakers approached me with different subjects, but for second lead, which I did not want to do. I prefer playing character roles rather than appearing on screen in smaller parts.,” she says, explaining that due to these factors it took her a while to find her second project.

The yet-to-be-titled film, helmed by newcomer Prashanth, will be a traigular love story, says Bimbashri, who is currently on the sets of film, whose shooting is taking place in Mandya. “Apart from the various characters, the film's story also centres on a cycle, which has become a major property of our film,” she says.

The actor hopes to complete the talkie portions in a month’s time and is simultaneously in discussion for her third project. “I hope to have other good roles coming my way,” Bimbashri signs off.
