A notice has been sent by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to the Telugu Film Producers Council stating that they have unanimously decided to shut all theatres down and stop film screenings in Telangana starting March 1, 2018.

In their statement, they have cited their plight as a result of the monopolisation by the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) and non-compliance with the chamber during releases through DSPs, such as UFO, QUBE, PXD and Scrable.

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has, therefore, requested the Producers Council to not carry forward any film shoots after March 1.
