For a while now, there have been reports that Ben Affleck, who has been playing the role of Batman in the DC Extended Universe, may leave the franchise since there were a lot of internal issues during the production of Justice League. It is now being said that Mad Men star Jon Hamm has shown interest in succeeding him as the Dark Knight in director Matt Reeves' upcoming untitled Batman film.

As of now, Ben Affleck is still officially tied to the franchise to play Bruce Wayne aka Batman. However, there have been rumblings that Matt Reeves is looking at options for a replacement, with Jake Gyllenhaal's name said to be at the top of his list.

Meanwhile, despite reports about Jon Hamm showing a keen interest to don the cape and the cowl, nothing has been set in stone yet.

DC Films' latest film, Justice League, which released last month is still playing in theatres.
