Tamil composer Adithyan passes away

Adithyan shot to instant fame in 1992 for scoring music for the hit Tamil film Amaran, which had the chart-buster "Vethala Potta" song sung by actor Karthik.

Notable Tamil composer Adithyan (63) passed away last night (December 5) in Hyderabad. The veteran music composer went to visit his daughter in Hyderabad where he reportedly suffered a kidney failure. The last rites will reportedly take place tomorrow at Chennai. 

Adithyan shot to instant fame in 1992 for scoring music for the hit Tamil film Amaran, which had the chart-buster "Vethala Potta" song sung by actor Karthik. The composer had also done remarkable work in several other Tamil films such as Seevalaperi Pandi, Lucky Man, and Asuran. The last film he worked on was Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi in 2003.
