Sudeep, who has had a successful run in the Kannada industry, has time and again crossed into the rest of south India and Bollywood.
He has been offered projects paritcularly from Telugu and Hindi film makers, and he has agreed to be part of Chiranjeevi 151st film in Telugu titled Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
The actor has also been approached for the multilingual film. The film, based on the Mahabharatha, also has stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Vikram on board. And now, Sudeep has an offer from Bollywood director Rohit Shetty as well.
While, the makers of both films are keen on working with Sudeep, and discussions are on, the actor has not given a nod to the multilingual film or to the Rohit Shetty-directorial. The reason, we hear, is that he wants to complete his commitments in Kannada before signing on any more projects. As of now, the only films he has accepted outside the Kannada industry are the Telugu film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and the Hollywood film Risen.
He accepted the Telugu project because the producer of the film tolm that he wanted to gift his father great cinema and wanted the best performers from the country to act in it. Sudeep, who heard this, was humbled when he was approached for the film, says our source.
The actor is currently shooting for Prem’s The Villain and will follow that up with S Krishna’s Pailwan and Surappa Babu’s Kotigobba 3. In between, he also has a film with senior actor Ambareesh titled Ambi Ning vaisyatho, which is being made under Kichcha Productions.
Our source says, “He wants to fulfill his Kannada commitments and then act in the Hindi films. If he has dates free after shooting for Krishna and Surrappa’s projects, or in between, only then will he take up the other offers.”
