Nikhil Kumar, who has completed shooting his portions for Darshan's epic film Kurukshetra, is gearing up for his next with director A Harsha. This will be a mega family drama titled Sitarama Kalyana.

The team, behind the film, which is to go on floors from December 20, has been scouting for a heroine, and they were particular that it should be a Kannada actor. The makers were looking for someone who would look good in the traditional, girl-next-door garb for this family entertainer. After considering a few actors, they have decided on Rachita Ram. An official announcement is yet to be made by Channambika Productions.

Meanwhile, Rachita has an interesting lineup of films. She is currently shooting for Johnny Johnny Yes Papa and will follow it up with Ayogya. Sitarama Kalyana will give her an association with a big production house and a chance to work with director Harsha and actor Nikhil Kumar for the first time. The film already has Sarath Kumar on board as well.
