Sathyaraj bought Kshanam's remake rights without seeing the film

Express Features

It looks like the friendship of Kattappa and Baahubali still persists. In a recent press meet, Sathyaraj said it was his Baahubali co-star Prabhas who instilled confidence in him to buy the remake rights of Kshanam, which will be hitting the screens this Friday in Tamil as Sathya, starring Sibiraj.

“While Sibiraj told me about Kshanam, I was shooting with Prabhas for Baahubali in Hyderabad. When I asked him about the film, he said that Kshanam broke the myth that hit films should possess big heroes. It proved that content is king and his words gave me the confidence to remake the film. I haven't watched the film even after buying the rights," said the veteran actor.

Produced by his home banner, Nathambal Film Factory, Sathya is directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy of Saithan fame. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Remya Nambeesan along with Sathish and Anandaraj.
