Akshay Kumar to begin work on Crack

There were reports suggesting that Akshay Kumar’s film Crack, which he announced long time ago with Neeraj Pandey, had been shelved. During a media interaction the actor mentioned that the film has not been shelved, but they are yet to develop a script and then they will talk about it. However, there was still buzz that, since all was not really well between Neeraj and the actor, the film might not happen.

Now, a source says, “Akshay and Neeraj are back together and they will start work on the film next year. Akshay had back-to-back film commitments, and since the work on the script was not over, they chose to delay it. The film is now likely to start next year and may release in 2019.”

It is said that this film is a remake of popular Hollywood film Falling Down, but there has not been any confirmation on it from the actor or the filmmaker. Crack was supposed to release this Independence Day, but since it did not go on the floors, Akshay chose to release Toilet- Ek Prem Katha on the same day. The actor has a busy year ahead with Rajini's 2.0 releasing in January, followed by Padman, Gold, Battle of Saragrahi and Mogul.
