This Onam, brace up for some serious a ction in M-Town. Mammootty and Mohanlal will both have releases this season, thereby ensuing a tight fight at the box office. Velipadinte Pustakam, with Mohanlal in the lead, will release on Thursday and Mammootty's Pullikaran Stara on Friday.  

Intrestingly, both the movies have the actors playing the role of a teacher. While the first songs of both films have hit the bulls-eye with the tracks going viral, the real fight will be witnessed this week. 

The last time both the stars had a release together was on October 7, 2016, when record setter Puli Murugan took on Mammootty's Thoppil Joppan. While Thoppil Joppan did a mediocre business, Puli Murugan went on to create history by raking in over 100 crores. The movie that turned a trend setter was dubbed and released in almost all South Indian languages.
