Saheba clears censors, to have a festive release

Express Features

With big films like Mugulu Nage and Bharjari getting postponed, Manoranjan Ravichandran is excited to know that his debut film, Saheba finally sees its release and is even more thrilled that it is coming out during Ganesha festival.

Censor members, who watched the film on Independence Day cleared the film with a U/A certificate.  The project which took more time in the making, had initially been scheduled to come in June. Unfortunately, the release was delayed as they got stuck with the Animal Censors Board and had to wait for a clearance certificate for using an elephant in the film.

Having crossed all hurdles, Saheba will now be coming to theatres this August 25. The film made under Jayanna Combines, is also a comeback project for director Bharat, who made his debut with Sriimurali starrer Kanti. Saheba featuring Shanvi Srivastava in the female lead has music by V Harikrishna and cinematography by GSV Seetharam.
