The second installment of the Vadivelu starrer Imsai Arasan is in its pre-production stages. A source reveals that Vadivelu, who played dual roles in the original film, will play a triple role in this. Grapevine now has it that the ace comedian, who'll next be seen in Vijay's Mersal, is working on shedding weight to fit perfectly in the role of a king.

One of the unreleased looks for the film which CE had access to, has Vadivelu sporting a white wig with glasses, similar to that of a poet from the Victorian era. Imsai Arasan 2 is bankrolled by Shankar, along with Lyca Productions. It's not clear yet if director Chimbu Deven, who directed the first part, will join the team.
