Sandhya Shetty in Priyadarshan-Udhay project

The actress is excited about featuring in the title song of filmmaker Priyadarshan's upcoming film

Sportswoman and model Sandhya Shetty is a part of Priyadarshan's untitled film, the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit, Maheshinte Prathikaram. According to sources, the title will be that of a popular song that eulogises village life. The model was quoted saying she bagged the project through a mutual friend. Sandhya said, "Priyan sir wanted a dusky actress who could also dance gracefully. I was instantly approved for the project."

Sandhya, a Mangalorean, had to learn Tamil for a song. "The shooting was crazy because we had to film scenes in cold weather, but the team has managed well," she says.

This yet-to-be-titled project has  Udhayanidhi Stalin, Namitha Pramod, Parvatii Nair, J Mahendran, Karunakaran, and MS Bhaskar in important roles.

The crew has begun shooting in Tenkasi, Kuttralam, and Chennai after the official launch on July 10. The second schedule is already going on.

Samuthirakani has written the dialogues for the film, and also plays an important role in the film. Darbuka Siva has been roped in to compose the music.
