Jiiva, whose latest outing was Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, is excited about his upcoming Tamil film, Kee, in which he plays an ethical hacker. The actor says, “We have been working on this script for almost three years. The film is about forgery and blackmailing, and highlights the pros and cons of technology. It is along the lines of the TV series, Black Mirror.”

The team watched many documentaries on hacking while working on the script, he says. “In Kee, I play a student who hacks computers for fun. But in real life... (pauses) no, I better not say it. I wouldn’t want people to freak out. I am not all that active on social media anyway,” he laughs.

What does Kee mean? “It’s a Tamil word that signifies both positivity and negativity,” says Jiiva. While Nikki Galrani and Anaika Soti play the female leads, Vishal Chandrasekhar has composed music.
