Vijay Sethupathi recently launched the first look of Thiruttu Payale 2 that has Amala Paul, Bobby Simha, and Prasanna in lead. Directed by Susi Ganesan, we hear the thriller is about infidelity. A source also reveals that it’s about how people wear different masks at different times. Susi Ganesan won’t confirm this. “The plot is quite simple. This sequel , and that’s the main connecting factor between both films."

Does he feel that the delay between the original and the sequel will affect its reception? “This sequel may have taken a decade, but the audience will connect to it. The screenplay is engaging. The core idea is, what when someone’s secret falls into the hands of another?” he says.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film marks a collaboration between Prasanna and Susi Ganesan after 14 years. The director last worked with the actor in the latter’s debut film, 5 Star. Vivekh and Robo Shankar will play supporting roles in the film, which will have music by Vidyasagar.
