Vijay Sethupathi to play a 96-year-old?

The second schedule of Vijay Sethupathi-Trisha starrer 96 has been going on in full swing in Puducherry. According to a source, the team has constructed expensive sets in which a few important scenes will be shot, involving the lead pair, along with Kaali Venkat and Aadukalam Murugadoss. The source added that over 300 supporting artistes will also feature in these scenes.

The film is set in the 90s and Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of a wildlife photographer with a new look. Also, latest developments suggest that he may play the role of a 96-year old in the film. Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom-fame cinematographer Premkumar is debuting as a director with 96.

The first look of the film was released on Monday by director Thiagarajan Kumararaja.
