Vikas: Anyone who wants to understand oneself should watch Neuron

A Sharadhaa

"To understand yourself, watch Neuron,” says first-time director Vikas Pushpagiri, who brings his experience in the IT field to his debut feature film.

The unique film, which apparently combines science with entertainment, will compete with a bunch of other releases this Friday (November 22). “Everyone can connect to the characters and it will be like watching themselves onscreen,” says the debutant director.

Neuron combines elements of love, sentiments, and comedy, Vikas tells us. “My interest has always science fiction and thrillers. I have been researching this particular subject for a while. I happened to read a news article, and then decided to make a film based on this real-life incident,” he says, adding that he learned about neurons from an expert in order to help him write the film.

Neuron features only eight cast members, says Vikas, who also reveals that a piano plays a major role in the film. “Content-wise, every 15 minutes, there will be a twist in the plot,” he says.

The film stars Vaishnavi Menon, Neha Patil, Shilpa Shetty and Varsha in important roles. With Yuva playing the lead, Neuron also features senior actor, Jai Jagadish, who was recently eliminated from Big Boss Season 7. The cast includes Kabir Duhan Singh and senior artiste Aravind Rao in important roles.
