Facing camera has been a childhood dream of Sanjana Doss, who is all set to make it come true now. The young actor will be making her debut with director Ratnam's Manasmitha.

She has been paired opposite Charan Gowda, also a newcomer, and the film stars actors like Atul Kulkarni, Bhavani Prakash, Pallavi Purhohith and Veena Ponnappa. Sanjana, who is currently also pursuing her graduation, says, "I always wanted to become an actor, but it just took a bit of time to convince my parents."

She admits that it has taken her a couple of years to find the right script. "Either I didn’t like the roles offered to me or the directors thought I was too young and inexperienced," she says.

The model-turned-actor is currently taking classes from Bhavani Prakash to hone her acting skills. She wishes to balance commercial and art films. "I feel films which balance both aspects give an actor more scope to perform," she says.
