After a two year break, actor Ishan, who made his debut with bilingual film Puri Jagannadh's Rogue, is prepping to hit the silver screen again with Raymo, directed by Natasaarvabhowma-fame Pavan Wadeyar.  
Raymo was launched a couple of days ago, and the makers are planning to start shooting in July. The actor feels it's more like a relaunch for him in Kannada. "People will agree about this when the director reveals more details of the film. He has made me go through a lot of changes and it will be a complete transformation from Rogue,” says the actor.

Ishan admits he was missing the camera and sets for a long time. However, in spite of the gap, he was always clear about his interest in films. “This is my profession. In fact, I did get a couple of offers from Telugu and Kannada. However, they didn’t work out the way I had expected. But the wait has been worthwhile, and I am glad that am back with this film, as the character is tailor-made for me. It is a love story of this generation youngsters,” says Ishan. 

First stint with the camera at 16

Ishan faced the camera at the age of 16 for his brother CR Manohar’s debut production venture Orata I Love You. But the scenes, featuring him were deleted later. “Technically, my career actually took off when I was 22. I first made my onscreen appearance in Upendra sir's Shivam,” he says, adding that he was involved in the film's production, apart from acting in a couple of scenes. As his efforts went unnoticed, Ishan went to Vizag to do a year-long course in acting and went on to do Rogue. 

Success matters

Ishan considers his brother and producer CR Manohar his biggest strength. “I believe that only when a person is successful all by himself, people will start noticing his work. I gave my heart and soul for Rogue, and I did get appreciated for my work. But, at the end of the day, box-office collection is equally important as critical acclaim,” he says, adding, “I realised this when directors who saw potential in me and wanted to cast me as the lead weren't able to find producers. When you are successful, everyone wants you and I will reach that spot soon,” he concludes.
