Venky Mama is a dream come true: Venkatesh

CE Features

Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya’s forthcoming multi-starrer Venky Mama is days away from the release and the team, including Raashi Khanna, director KS Ravindra (Bobby), and producers Suresh Babu Daggubati and TG Vishwa Prasad, are busy promoting the family entertainer.

Venkatesh, in his interaction with the media, revealed that his father and producer, the late D Ramanaidu had dreamt of making a film featuring him, Rana, and Naga Chaitanya together. "I have always wanted to work with my nephews — Rana and Chaitanya — and it was father's dream too. So, Venky Mama is a dream come true. My father would have celebrated and cherished this film had he been alive today. This film is dedicated to him," said an emotional Venkatesh.

The actor was all praise for Chaitanya's performance. "Chaitanya has delivered an all-round performance and conveyed the most complex emotions with an air of casualness. All credit to Bobby for coming up with a wonderful story of a mama and alludu, which has emotion, romance, and comedy in the right measures. It is an entertainer for the entire family. I am sure Venky Mama is a perfect follow up film for me after F2," he added.

Suresh Babu stated that the team had not faced any issue shooting in Kashmir. "The film is about relationships. Writer Janardhan Maharshi pitched this story a couple of years ago and director Bobby has translated it into a wholesome entertainer. We shot the film in Rajahmundry, Hyderabad, and Kashmir. Shooting in the snowy landscape for 25 days was an enriching experience. It's a safe and beautiful place. We will never forget the support received from the Indian government and Army in this endeavour,” said Suresh.

Also starring Payal Rajput, Prakash Raj, and Posani Krishna Murali, Venky Mama, with music by SS Thaman, is set for release on December 13.
