Two days ago, the first look poster of a film titled Ka aroused some curiosity on social media. The innovative design (from Oldmonks) concealed some intriguing words, all starting with the letter 'ka'. Director Rajeeshlal Vamsha, a first-timer, tells Cinema Express that the words in the poster "represent various elements in the story."

Neeraj Madhav has been cast as the main lead. "The film revolves around five friends from a colony who go about their daily lives when a shocking incident disrupts everything. It's primarily a fun entertainer which has all the commercial ingredients—songs, romance, fights, etc—but it treads an unfamiliar path laden with unforeseen twists and turns," says the director.

Rajeeshlal hopes the film will do wonders for Neeraj Madhav's career. "Neeraj is a versatile actor. He is good at playing both comic and serious roles. Plus, he has a flexible physique which suits action sequences."

The curiosity created by the poster has made the team more cautious and responsible, says the filmmaker. "We hope to do full justice to the script."

Rajeeshlal is directing from a script penned by Rajiv Rajan. RR Vishnu is the director of photography, Shameer Muhammed the editor and Jakes Bejoy the music director. A Bangalore-based production company PXERO is backing the project.

The team is planning to start filming in Thiruvananthapuram by December.
