No matter how many heroines Hariprriya shares screen space with, the actor has always made an effort to stand out in a multistarrer. And one such example is her latest Telugu film, Jaisimha, she says. At a recent promotional visit to Anantpur, Hariprriya was  happy to be identified as Manga, the character she plays in the film, starring Balakrishna.  

Up next for the actor is Kanaka in Kannada, a film directed by R Chandru in which she stars opposite Duniya Vijay and shares screen space with Manvitha Harish. "Of late, I accept films because of the script and the characters and I feel I'm on the right path. The role also further excites me, whenever a director considers me for my talent. That was the case with director Chandru," says Hariprriya, adding, "The film shoot was halfway through, when the director approached me for Kanaka. He said I will suit the role and wanted me to be part of it," she says.

Though Hariprriya and Vijay have worked together before, the film Mukhyamantri, has not been released in theatres yet. So Kanaka becomes their first release together. Hariprriya says, her character Sampige has more shades to her than simply being a village girl. "It is about childhood love, which the director has given a lot of importance to. Both Vijay and I have grown up watching Rajkumar films and it's something which inspires our lives," she says, adding, "It's very rare to get to be part of a script which has a village  as its backdrop, and that also gives scope for performance," she says.
