Santhosh P Jeyakumar's second film after Hara Hara Mahadevaki (HHMK) created a buzz among Tamil fans for its freaky title. Despite, being shot at a breakneck speed of twenty-three days, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu (IAMK) had to wait for its release for more than a month due to the TFPC strike. The adult horror-comedy is finally getting a theatrical release on May 4. 

The IAMK team comprising of the director Santhosh P Jeyakumar, Gautham Karthik, Yashika Anand and Shah Ra met the press for an interaction yesterday. 

The film's lead Gautham Karthik feels that HHM and IAMK won't brand him as an adult film actor among the audience. "An actor is known by his last film, so I don't think these two films will stereotype me. Mr Chandaramouli is a family entertainer, and my next with Muthiah is a rural action thriller, which are no way similar to this film." He feels our audience should "start accepting films from this genre like Bollywood." 

He also went on to surprise the audience by saying that even his father, Karthik is eagerly waiting for the film. 

"Neither Santhosh nor I remember the story we discussed the first time around. Though we shot day and night nonstop for twenty-three days, it was completely fun working with the crew. Sometimes I would call Santhosh and ask if the shooting is over for real," he added. 

Director Santhosh P Jeyakumar expressed his gratitude to his directorial team who worked with him simultaneously on IAMK and Ghajinkanth. "Completing two features films simultaneously within a short span is a herculean task. I don't think I could have done this without my team. There are people who question whether my films promote rape and abuse; I think it's the other way around, my films carry the message 'self-help is the best help', this actually prevents all the mishappenings," he said. 

With IAMK hitting the screens on May 4, the director teased the audience by revealing that the film ends with a cue for a sequel.
