Actress Pooja Kumar is choosy about the scripts that have come her way. Known for playing the 'woman of the house' in films like Vishwaroopam and Uttama Villain, says she doesn’t have any inhibitions if people remember her for playing a homemaker in her films.

“I want to do quality work and feel happy about it. I don’t mind getting typecast for playing the same role again and again,” says Pooja.

Interestingly, the 40-year-old actress is once again playing a homemaker in her November 3 release PSV Garuda Vega. “A wife goes through a lot of emotions, trouble and turbulence and at the same time, she gets a lot of love and affection from her husband. If you notice this, as an actor I’m getting a lot of scope to portray different feelings in one role. So, I’m not tired of playing a wife at all,” explains Pooja.

Elaborating on her role, the actress shares, “Swathi is a typical woman who loves her family and wants to be loved. She feels proud of being the wife of an NIA officer, stands by him and holds the fort while he is away on duty. Also, she feels detached and worried about the well-being of her husband, who always puts his life at risk. So, she is always in two minds.”

Garuda Vega marks Pooja’s debut in Telugu. “I have listened to many scripts before signing Garuda... It’s a gripping thriller and my role has a lot of shades. It’s a wonderful character for a debut film. The way director Praveen Sattaru moulded my character with all the emotional upheavals was exciting. Praveen is a director who is extremely clear about what he wants from his actors. It was a wonderful experience,” she adds.
