Parul Yadav breaks away from actor stereotype

Express Features

Parul Yadav doesn’t want to restrict herself to being just another actress in the industry. To affirm this, the actress has ventured into her latest experiment, a Punjabi video - Car Nachdi with popular actor, singer and song writer Gippy Grewal.

Following the release, the video has garnered numerous hits. Happy to be part of the album, Parul says she wants to be a trendsetter.

“I am considered as an actor, who  concentrates only on films. This perception has stuck on especially after bagging Butterfly, a remake of Queen. I picked up this video, only to break away from the stereotype. I want the audience to know that I can do glamour very well,” she says.

Though Parul struts out her oomph factor in the video, she doesn’t dance. “Though the video has been a hit, there have been questions about me not dancing. Going by the demand, my next video will see me shaking it out. The shooting for this video begins in July,” she says.

Will this be a foothold for Parul to venture into the Punjabi entertainment industry and possibly be a ticket to Bollywood? Only time can tell.

Meanwhile, Parul who completed shooting a few portions of Butterfly will start the next schedule from July 9 . “I have borrowed time from the producer and director for my own grooming, as it helps me to get into the skin of the character,” she says.
