GV Prakash hit it out of the park with his first album in Veyil (2006). Veyilodu Vilayadi became a memorable track across all generations.

Kireedam (2007), the Ajith-Trisha starrer film was filled with hummable songs like Akkam Pakkam and Vizhiyil un Vizhiyil. This album also has lyrics by Na Muthukumar.

Sung by Nithyashree Mahadevan, Shubha Mudgal, and Vinita, Kana Kangiren from Ananda Thandavam (2008) is a perfect fusion contemporary Tamil beats and classical music.

Angadi Theru (2009) directed by Vasanthabalan, starring Mahesh and Anjali in lead roles had intense and emotional songs such as Aval Appadi Ondrum and Unn Perai Sollum.
