The official trailer of Mysskin's next, Psycho, has dropped, and the visuals hold quite a lot of clues. Here, we have tried to break them down for you.
In true Mysskin style, the one-and-a-half minute trailer promises a startling twist on the usual serial-killer thriller .Beethoven's Fur Elise composition plays in the trailer's background, and adds to the feeling of dread that builds up as the startling visuals unfold. The teaser features Udhayanidhi (who has a visual impairment), an anxious Nithya Menen, a distressed Aditi Rao Hydari, and a mysterious serial-killer.Quick long shots of a naked man, close shots of a psychotic man, who seems to be the killer, slaughtered humans, men running, butcher knives, and a lot of blood set up the intrigue brilliantly.Director Ram is also seen in the film's trailer. But, there's no information on the character he plays.Aditi's character seems someone, who's being held captive, and is trying to escape.Psycho is said to based on the Buddhist tale of Angulimala, which is about a brigand who sets out to kill 1000 people in order to collect a finger from each. The brigand, then undergoes a change in mindset after meeting Buddha, and becomes a monk.Udhay is said to play a character named Gauthaman, a representation of Buddha.A debutant actor, reportedly one of the Mysskin's assistants, plays the serial killer and the equivalent of Angulimala. With cinematography by Tanveer Mir, Psycho marks Mysskin's third collaboration with Ilaiyaraaja after Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum and Nandalala.Produced by Arun Mozhi Manickam, the film is expected to release on 24 January. Here are a few more chilling snapshots from the teaser...
