It opens with an insight into the background of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy from Rayalaseema who led the rebellion against the British East India Company

Amitabh Bachchan plays Guru Gosayi Venkanna, who declares at the beginning of the trailer that this is India’s first war for freedom

Gosayi is Narasimha Reddyi’s mentor, who was the guiding force and guru behind Narasimha Reddy’s freedom struggle

History has it that Narasimha Reddy led a peasant uprising in Kurnool in the 1840s, much before Sepoy Mutiny in 1857

Vijay Sethupathi’s character- Raja Pandi Nadar - has a prominent presence, alleging his loyalties to Narasimha Reddy and stating that he would be the “Lakshman to his Ram, in victory or death.”

Raja Pandi is Sye Raa's confidante, a ferocious fighter and the soul of the latter's army.

Nayanthara plays Narasimha Reddy's wife, Siddhama in the film. She apparently embodies selflessness and pure love in Narasimha Reddy’s world.

Tamannaah plays a character called Lakshmi, the details of which are not known.

However, it's being said that Tamannaah plays a character whose heart belongs to the nation and she will do whatever it takes to strengthen Narasimha Reddy’s ultimate ambition

The majority of the trailer footage is dedicated to impressive action sequences and depictions of brutality by the British against the villagers, which incites Reddy to start a war

“Get out from my motherland!” Narasimha Reddy, seemingly on a death row, yells in English

Sudeep plays Avuku Raja, the ambitious leader and nemesis of Syeraa, who joined hands with the latter in the battle against the Britishers in the Giddaluru revolt in 1846

Jagapathi Babu will be seen as Veera Reddy, who belongs to the royal family. His royal blood will forever remain faithful to the nation and its hero, Narasimha Reddy

Anushka Shetty as Rani Lakshmibai will also be seen in a cameo in the film

Ravi Varman was initially signed to do cinematography, but later opted out because of scheduling issues. Later, R. Rathnavelu replaced Ravi Varman

A. R. Rahman was initially signed to do the music, but later opted out because of scheduling issues. Amit Trivedi was then roped in to compose music for Sye Raa

Sye Raa has been produced by Ram Charan - on a lavish budget of 270 crore - under his Konidela Productions banner

Art director Rajeevan has worked on Sye Raa's exceptional production design

Anju Modi, Uttara Menon, and Sushmitha have worked as the costume designers for the film

A crucial war sequence was filmed for the film in September 2018, which cost the makers 45 crores

London-based stunt choreographers Greg Powell, Lee Whittaker and Ram-Laxman have choreographed the action sequences in the film

Filming for Sye Raa began on 6 December 2017, and was completed earlier this year

The lyrics for the film have been written by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry in Telugu, Swanand Kirkire in Hindi and Azad Varadaraj in Kannada

For the Tamil dubbed version, Arvind Swami and Nizhalgal Ravi have dubbed for Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan, respectively. Vijay Balaji has written the Tamil dialogues

The VFX in the film have been supervised by Kamal Kannan

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on October 2
