Bombay to Goa (1972) | A bunch of oddballs takes a bus from Mumbai to Goa – all while a murder investigation is on. Amitabh appears as Ravi Kumar, a man who eventually nabs the killer.

Garam Masala (1972) | A gyspy woman dressed as a masked man exacts revenge against the despotic Captain Kishore, the ruler of Sabzbag. Amitabh cameos as ‘Ustaad’ Robert Tailor, a gunslinger.

Chupke Chupke (1975) | A Botany professor’s prank on his wife's family gets complicated when he gets his friend Sukumar (Bachchan) to impersonate him. In this manner, a classic was made.

Hera Pheri (1976) | From bluffing his way onto Saira Banu’s lap to conning Asrani at a casino table, Amitabh nailed some hilarious scenes in this superhit crime film.

Bunty Aur Babli (2005) | Like son, like father. Big B sets out to catch Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerjee in this endearing caper directed by Shaad Ali.

Cheeni Kum (2007) | Amitabh corners Paresh Rawal in an empty mensroom. He has weird proposal: he wants to marry the man’s daughter. R Balki’s romcom packed big laughs under its un-syrupy title.

Bhoothnath (2008) | Amitabh plays a friendly ‘bhoot’ who teams up with a mischief-maker in a Goa mansion. The film was a riff on Oscar Wilde’s The Canterville Ghost.

Piku (2015) | As the cantankerous Bhashkor Banerjee, Big B drives Irrfan Khan up the wall with his poop talk and fussy behaviour. A film that’s flush with laughs.

102 Not Out (2018):A snazzy centenarian in no mood to clear the pitch, Amitabh brightened up Umesh Shukla’s generational comedy, even as he became a nuisance to his colorless, 76-year-old son.
