Gautham Menon has joined hands with Vels Film International for a new film, titled Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, which stars Puppy-fame Varun in the lead.

Varun plays a notorious hitman, who doubles up as a personal security agent, in Joshua.

The female lead is played by newcomer Raahei, who plays an assistant US attorney, who Joshua is commissioned to protect.

The teaser hints at a stylish action-drama with slick visuals, peppered with GVM-style action and narration.

Yannick Ben who had choreographed action sequences for many Hollywood films and had worked in Gautham's Dhruva Natchathiram is on board as the stunt director.

Varun had apparently trained with Yannick Ben in Paris for a month to prepare for the film.

The film is being shot in Chennai, US and the UK.

Joshua is slated for release on Valentine's Day 2020.
